When "Rick and Morty" season 3 premiered on April 1 unannounced, fans were apparently surprised but thought that it was only part of the creators' April Fool's joke. However, it turned out to be real when creator Dan Harmon confirmed it in his social media that the critically acclaimed animated series is airing. The creators remain tight-lipped on the details of the next episode and fans are already eager to see more of the grandpa and grandson duo. Recent reports suggest that episode 2 is expected to air just before autumn hits and a featurette was recently revealed with one of the voice actors got drunk in real life.

According to Gizmodo, Adult Swim shared a video featuring "Rick and Morty" creator Dan Harmon challenging his co-creator Justin Roiland to shoot a scene in season 3 where Rick gets extremely drunk. The video shows Roiland, who voices Rick, having a few shots before working on the scene, where associate producer Sydney Ryan can be seen being frustrated. Many fans love this behind-the-scene video and suggest that having Rick get drunk makes the show more fun.

There have been no further details on the upcoming "Rick and Morty" episodes except that episode 2 is believed to air sometime in summer. Titled "Rickmancing the Stone," episode 2 is written by Jane Becker. Celebeat reports that season 3 episode titles are inspired by some famous films. Episode 1, for example, is titled "The Rickshank Redemption," which derived from the famous movie "The Shawshank Redemption."

"Rick and Morty" is known for its unconventional plot, which means that it's still difficult to predict what's coming next. Nonetheless, most fans believe that Birdperson is returning to the show as Birdperson Phoenix Person. It is also said that he might be Rick's adversary.

Additionally, there are other characters that fans expect to see in "Rick and Morty" season 3 as well. It is said that next season will focus on Rick's state of mind. Others believe that the show's plot would be something mysterious and deep.
