Travis Fimmel might be working on a new film with Lena Dunham but there is a possibility that the "Vikings" star will be getting ready to shoot another highly anticipated series soon. Fimmel is set to return to History but not as Ragnar Lothbrok in the awesome Michael Hirst show. Could the "Warcraft" actor begin work on the still-untitled Wyatt Earp series later this year?

Just Jared has previously reported on Travis Fimmel being seen in casual clothes and a noticeably trimmed goatee as he was filmed on the streets of New York City. It was revealed that the "Finding Steve McQueen" actor is working on a new short film with "Girls" star Lena Dunham and appears to be playing a man who catches the actress' eye. Although the project's title has not yet been announced, there are speculations that the movie will be completed soon and Fimmel can begin shooting for his TV series with History. Unfortunately, it will not be for "Vikings" Season 5 since Ragnar Lothbrok has beeen killed off in the previous season.

According to CeleBeat, Travis Fimmel has pitched a TV series that will follow Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday and similar historical icons. The show's first episode was reportedly written by Fimmel, who will play Earp as well. In addition to that, the former "Vikings" star will serve as executive producer. Although it has not yet been confirmed when the new series will begin production, some believe that Fimmel is eager to get started on the project as soon as possible. It is possible that the Australian actor will start working on the History show as soon as he is finished with his Lena Dunham short film.

But is there any possibility that Travis Fimmel will be back as Ragnar Lothbrok in "Vikings" Season 5? Fans have theorized that Fimmel might have a cameo when the series finally returns on History later this year.
