Former Hollywood "it" couple Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens have decided to end their relationship back in 2010. Despite their failed romance, fans have never lost their love for the "High School Musical" duo and have always hoped for them to get back together. But is Austin Butler's girlfriend still not over her failed romance with the "Baywatch" actor?

The existence of a "High School Musical 4" is giving fans more reasons to ship the former lovebirds. Zac Efron (Troy Bolton) and Vanessa Hudgens (Gabriella Montez) are expected to be a part of Disney's fourth installment of the romantic comedy musical television film. With the duo being on-screen once again, their tandem will bring back so many memories to the fans and especially to Zac and Vanessa.

Despite Vanessa Hudgens being in a relationship with Austin Butler, shippers are still somewhat hoping that the duo will rekindle their on-and-off screen romance on the new film. Unfortunately for the ZaNessa fans, the "Spring Breakers" actress just recently hinted that she may not be a part of the new installment.

"I mean, I'm 28," Vanessa Hudgens told E! News. "I could be a teacher, but I refuse to be a teacher! I'm still a teenager at heart. So probably not with me, but I'm excited to see what they whip together."

Clearly, being a part of the "High School Musical 4" film is not on Vanessa Hudgens' priority list. On top of that, the "Gimme Shelter" star revealed that she and Zac Efron did not maintain a friendship after their breakup and they are not in speaking terms anymore. "Oh yeah no, that's not a thing that happens. No, I completely lost contact with him," she revealed to Access Hollywood Live.

There is still no official word on the "High School Musical 4" release date yet, but the hopes of seeing Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, Lucas Grabeel, Monique Coleman and the rest of the cast on screen again is enough to bring hype to the much-awaited installment.
