Noah Hawley's black comedy-crime drama anthology "Fargo" was released to critical acclaim on FX Network with critics saying that it delivers quirky characters and storyline that are beautifully performed with dark humor and strange twists. Inspired by the 1996 movie of the same name, the third season of the series stars Ewan McGregor, Carrie Coon, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Goran Bogdan and David Thewlis. The series has won numerous awards including Primetime Emmy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, among others. However, recent reports suggest that the show may never get another installment.

Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, FX Network chief John Landgraf said that a fourth season for "Fargo" is still uncertain unless the creator will have another unique storyline for the series. "I think once people get to the end of this [season] they will find that it is thematically different," he explained. "It's really about the moment we live in now."

The news disappointed a lot of "Fargo" fans but most are keeping their fingers crossed that Hawley would be able to come up with another yet unique storyline as great as the three seasons. Slash Film reports that even the creator himself has admitted previously that he is uncertain if there will ever be another season for the popular series. Hawley said that whenever he's writing on a story for the series, he doesn't think about the future.

Hawley also said that he is not in a hurry if ever he has another story to tell for "Fargo." Each season for the series has different unique storylines and cast ensemble, which attracted a lot of viewers. Landgraf did not hint that season 3 is finally the conclusion of the series and all fans are hoping that the creator would be able to create another story for the series.

Set in the year 2010, "Fargo" season 3 follows the story of the two brothers - Emmit and Ray Stussy (Ewan McGregor). Its production started in January 2017 in Canada. The third season premiered on April 19 on FX Network.
