'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' 2 Script Is Done; More Details on J.K Rowling's Sequel

Well-known "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling, also known as Robert Galbraith as her pen name, has been one of the most highly-decorated authors of all time. She is also a film producer and started screenwriting through the 2016 fantasy film "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them," which was inspired by her own book of the same name. Recently, fans rejoiced when she answered a fan query if she's done writing the script for the sequel of the said film. Apparently, she is finished writing it but didn't provide any further information.

"@jk_rowling have you already write the script of Fantastic Beasts 2? TELL ME EVERYTHING WOMAN," asked a fan on Twitter on May 28. "Yes, I have, but I CAN'T TELL YOU ANYTHING YET, WOMAN," J.K. Rowling, replied. Fans were all over it upon learning that she has finished writing the script. "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them" is a spin-off of the "Harry Potter" series and the script that she just finished is a sequel, which fans expect to see in the big screen in November 2018.

J.K. Rowling remains tight-lipped about the storyline for "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them" sequel but it has been announced that the filming begins in July 2017, which will take place in Paris and the UK. Actor Jude Law has also been confirmed in the sequel to play the role of Albus Dumbledore. The third film is also set to premiere in November 2020.

"Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them" was the eight highest-grossing 2016 film that grossed over $800 million globally. It was also nominated for five BAFTA awards and won the Best Production Design award including the Best Costume Design award during the Academy Awards. The first film starred Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander with Dan Fogler, Jon Voight, Katherine Waterston, among others.

According to Cinema Blend, the entire series for "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them" takes place between 1926 and 1945. It is the year when Grindelwald and Dumbledore had their ultimate final battle. Both Johnny Depp and Eddie Redmayne will reprise their roles as Grindelwald and Newt.
