G-Dragon broke a lot of records after releasing the music video of his comeback single, “Untitled, 2014.” The success of his return to the music scene is quite expected as the BIGBANG leader is dubbed as the “King of K-pop.” However, it was learned that the 28-year-old South Korean rapper, singer-songwriter, record producer, and fashion icon was supposed to release a different track from his album but changed the last minute.

It’s no secret that G-Dragon, real name Kwon Ji-yong, has a golden voice but he is mostly known for his upbeat songs, so many were surprised to see that his comeback single was a ballad one. The BIGBANG star has been sharing on social media regarding what to expect from his title track and many were convinced that he’s going to drop a fast song with epic dance moves, presumably choreographed by famous and award-winning New Zealand-born choreographer, Parris Goebel.

Even his Instagram posts seemingly revealed that he is going down and dirty in his much-awaited comeback single. Many believed that “Bullsh*t” mad a lot of sense as his title track but obviously it wasn’t. There was no hint on his posts that he is going to release a slow-pace song, making fans believe that he changed his first single due to BIGBANG’s T.O.P’s current health crisis.

T.O.P (Choi Seung-hyun) was rushed to the hospital earlier this week after he was found unconscious. Doctors later revealed that the BIGBANG’s lead rapper took excessive amount of anxiety pill called Benzodiazepine. His mother recently shared that the 29-year-old singer-songwriter, actor, and record producer’s health condition has significantly improved. Doctors noted that T.O.P is now conscious and stable and will be discharged from the ICU.

Meanwhile, despite the unexpected comeback track of G-Dragon, many are still praising the BIGBANG star, pointing out his amazing vocals and visuals. People are already convinced that G-Dragon will nab all awards possible for his new song. “Untitled, 2014” has already reached the 4 million mark as of writing in less than 24 hours.
