Big Bang's T.O.P has been one of the most popular South Korean stars among KPop fans and has earned an overpowering fanbase even in the other parts of the world. He rose to fame as the band's rapper and singer-songwriter, making it one of the best-selling groups in the world. However, his career has been packed with controversy when he was caught smoking marijuana in October 2016 in his home in Seoul. A few weeks ago, the rapper was found unconscious due to a drug overdose but he is apparently recovering and was criticized for using his social media account in the face of these controversies.

Big Bang's T.O.P started his mandatory military service as a police officer in February 2017 and he is expected to be discharged on Nov. 8, 2018. However, following his weed controversy, it was recently announced that he would be put to trial (without detention) for smoking marijuana and was sent to another police division. The following day, the rapper was discovered in the police barracks unconscious. It is said that it was due to an overdose of the prescribed benzodiazepine, an anti-anxiety medicine.

A few days after his recovery, Big Bang's T.O.P has been discharged from the hospital and is now recovering from his terrible health issues. AllKPop reports that his agency, YG Entertainment issued a statement that the rapper is currently in a treatment, which takes two weeks as advised by his medical doctors. However, he suffered a backlash when eagle-eyed fans noticed that he liked an Instagram post of another artist on Friday.

Ace Showbiz reports that some fans were not actually happy to see Big Bang's T.O.P on social media as he should be reflecting on what he had done. One fan said that being active on social media only means that he is not serious about making up for his mistakes. However, he also has fans that rallied behind him. They said that being sick and being caught up in the middle of these drug controversies doesn't mean he can no longer be active on social media.

"Big Bang's T.O.P should know better to be more careful but it's not like people can expect him to do nothing in his private life just because he's reflecting," one fan wrote. "It's not like breathing in his room is all he's allowed to do." Others also said that they missed him and are looking forward to see him on stage anytime soon.
