When "Dragon Ball Super" Tournament of Power was announced, all eight participating universes have been hard at work to ensure their winning. Otherwise, the Omni-King will wipe out their homes if they lose in the deadly martial arts tournament. Universe 11 has been dubbed as the strongest team mainly because it has the muscular humanoid but looks like the Aliens, Jiren The Gray. Now, it appears that Goku, from team Universe 7 is about to meet one of his biggest opponents in the tournament.

The preview for "Dragon Ball Super" episode 96 shows one of the clips that feature Goku meeting Jiren, which excites the former. However, it appears that Universe 11's strongest fighter doesn't seem to care about meeting the Saiyan. The preview also features Vegeta, Frieza and Champa as the Tournament of Power is about to begin. It can be recalled when Toppo, the God of Destruction of Universe 11, told Goku that Jiren is stronger than him and can even surpass both of their combined powers.

Earlier reports from Celebeat suggest that Jiren was spotted in deep meditation in one of the previous episodes of "Dragon Ball Super." He was seen meditating in a dark corner with a strange energy surrounding his body. Theories have it that he may have the Ki of Gods because it was the same energy that was seen in Toppo when he had a battle against Goku. However, there are experts of the anime that suggest it wouldn't be possible because the only deities are the Gods of Destruction, the Supreme Kais and the Angels.

According to Comic Book, it is still unknown as to when would "Dragon Ball Super" bring Goku and Jiren The Gray into a battle but there's only one thing that's certain - that battle would be intense. The Tournament of Power takes place at the World of Void with a total of eight participating universes. Whoever loses the battle royal will be wiped out by the Omni-King automatically.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 96 is set to air on July 2. It is said that the Tournament of Power will finally begin in episode 97. Let's fasten our seat belts!
