Katie Holmes, newly divorced and still making headlines for her every post-Cruise move, has some breaking career news to balance the barrage of personal life updates. Holmes has lined up her first acting gig as a divorcee; she's heading to the Broadway stage.

Holmes is set to star in "Dead Accounts," a comedic play by Theresa Rebeck. This isn't her first time to tread a stage on the Great White Way; she made here Broadway debut in the 2008 revival of Arthur Miller's "All My Sons."

The show is scheduled to open this fall and performances will be held at the Music Box Theatre. The play's plot focuses on family dynamics and how those dynamics can be affected by money. Rehearsals for the upcoming premiere should serve as a distraction for Holmes from her love life drama; she'll need to be at her best as her fans and detractors alike wait to see if she'll come out of this break-up with a successful career.
