Amanda Bynes has been plastered all over the news lately, and the actress hasn't even been in a film since 2010. After a DUI, two counts of hit-and-run, an impounded car and some pretty bizarre behavior (which includes locking herself in a dressing room for two hours and an odd work out at the gym), 26-year-old Bynes is finally speaking out.

People.com reached out to Bynes on Wednesday, and the actress was reportedly police, respectful and upbeat, something that was unexpected from someone many fear may be the next Britney Spears.

"I'm doing amazing," she told People. "I am retired as an actor. I am moving to New York to launch my career. I am going to do a fashion line."

While Bynes seemed eager to address the good things currently happening in her life, the actress didn't seem to thrilled to be talking about the downers, that being her arrest and recent car nightmares.

"I am not talking about being arrested for DUI because I don't drink, and I don't drink and drive," Bynes continued. "It is all false."

Bynes may not feel like she is in any trouble with the law, but others around her seem to fear so. According to TMZ, Bynes will be getting a semi-permanent visit from family. Sources revealed to TMZ that the troubled former actress' parents are worried, and moving from Texas to California. Like Britney Spears, the term conservatorship is being thrown around, but Bynes' parents are reportedly only looking to give their daughter support.

As for those not giving Amanda Bynes support, it's hard to forget about Lindsay Lohan's Twitter outrage over Bynes' lack of punishment. Over the weekend Lohan tweeted about Bynes finally getting her car impounded after being photographed numerous times driving around on a suspended license.

"Why did I get put in jail and a Nickelodeon star as had NO punishment(s) so far?" the "Liz and Dick" actress asked on the social networking site. She followed up the tweet with another, stating, "These are the moments that I appreciate my life experiences, living without regrets and Disney for supporting me as an actress -- night all."

It appears that Bynes may be getting the last laugh, because early Wednesday morning Lohan was arrested in New York City after fleeing the scene of an accident. According to TMZ, friends of Bynes revealed that the retired actress was angry over Lohan's tweeting, but after Wednesday's arrest feels that that's "what she gets."
