"Homeland" actress Claire Danes, simply glowed while walking the red carpet at the Emmy Awards on Sunday and not just because of her pregnancy.

Danes wore a loose yellow frock which was draped over her burgeoning baby bump and paired it with silver heels. However, we're not too impressed with the asymmetrical hemline.

While most Hollywood mommy's-to-be would be happy to enjoy the Emmy's at home with a vat of ice-cream, Danes has no problem getting all dolled up for the big event.

"It's been actually fine. I've been really, really lucky to have a very gentle pregnancy, so it's not run too much interference-knock on wood," she told E! News host Ryan Seacrest.

She actually enjoys the show's up-tempo pace."The show is rigorous, aside from the pregnancy. It's intense by it's nature, but I love that about it." she continued. " I couldn't be happier with this material and working with this group of people who are just so brilliant and lovely."

Danes has been married to husband and fellow actor Hugh Dancy, since 2009.  She recently told CNN host Andeson Cooper, that motherhood is going to be a "profound change."

"There's no way of anticipating what that's going to mean for [husband Hugh Dancy and me], but we are very excited," she told the silver-haired host. "We are going to love this person, I know that."

However, she can handle one particular stage of childhood development -- the terrible two's.

"My mom ran a toddler school in our loft; I grew up in the city," she explained. "So I grew up with 1-and 2-year-olds all throughout my childhood, and I know about early childhood development - that particular window I am pretty educated on."

Adding, "anything before and after I might have some trouble."

According to several reports, Danes just won an Emmy for lead actress in a drama series for her role as the psychologically troubled CIA agent Carrie Mathison on the Showtime series, "Homeland."

Congratulations, Claire.
