Nina Dobrev of "The Vampire Diaries" is famous for her gorgeous long brown hair ... but the actress just chopped it off! The starlet didn't pull a Miley and get a close crop, but she did do something drastic ... bangs!
"The Vampire Diaries" actress was set to attend the SAG awards on Sunday, Jan. 27, and decided to hit the salon beforehand. Instead of just getting her hair styled for the big event, she ended up going all out and getting it cut! Her hair stylist, Riawna Capri of Nine Zero One salon, tweeted about Dobrev's new hair debut on Sunday evening.
"The evolution of tonight's #SagAwards look on @ninadobrev Step 1) an awesome haircut," Capri tweeted along with a photo. The photo showed the breakdown of what went into Dobrev's red carpet hair.
Dobrev's end result turned out well as she was praised for her stunning red carpet look. The 24-year-old wowed the crowd in a hot pink, short-sleeved crepe gown from Elli Saab's Spring 2013 collection. Normally one to wear her hair down, Dobrev had her hair styled up in a mid-messy bun with her bangs swept off to the side. The up-do showed off the delicate lace cutout detailing that ran from the front of her dress down the back.
