Handler, Morgan Fight; Chelsea Gets Catty With CNN Anchor

Are these two secretly into each other?

The Handler, Morgan fight got into full swing yesterday after Piers Morgan's appearance on Chelsea Handler's late-night E! talk show. Morgan's told Handler that she looked "pretty hot tonight" and said it must be the result of plastic surgery. Handler quipped back that Morgan had "molester eyes" and things only got more heated from there.

It appears the feud might be more Handler than Morgan. Morgan appears to be playfully going with the flow, but it looks as though Chelsea Handler isn't trying to pull punches. Maybe it's just British charm, but by the end of the clip Morgan is still smiling and looking composed, while Handler seethes with contempt.

"You are so annoying," said Handler. "You are so obnoxious and you wonder why everyone hates you."

Handler is referring to Morgan's recent comments about America's gun laws in the wake of the Sandy Hook shooting. His harsh criticism of Americans who support the Second Amendment led to an online petition that asks the U.S. State Department to deport the CNN anchor.  Morgan was accused of exploiting the tragedy for professional gain, a claim he addressed when he tweeted that he was "standing on the graves of dead Sandy Hook children" in order to draw attention to gun control.

Piers went to another late night couch when he visited "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno." Morgan told Leno that he thought the exchange was misinterpreted flirting.

"She told me to suck her a**. Now, I'm an English gentleman, and we just don't do that kind of thing where I come from, so I have to make myself very clear," Morgan said. "I think she was flirting. She was misreading the signals."
