Lady Gaga Accuses Perez Hilton of Stalking

Lady Gaga and Perez Hilton have gone from friends to warring enemies on social media, The Huffington Post reported August 18.

On August 17, the Applause singer lashed out at the blogger for what she alleged was harassing behavior. She claimed that Hilton had been sending her menacing messages. One of the taunts included Hilton declaring that Gaga had received her "karma" after she was forced to cancel her Born this Way tour in February and needed hip surgery.

Gaga also accused Hilton of stalking her. She said that Hilton was looking for an apartment to rent in her building. The 27-year-old told her 39 million plus followers on Twitter that she had grave concerns for her safety.

Hilton released a statement to The Hollywood Reporter and denied any inappropriate behavior towards his former friend. He said that it broke his heart to have Gaga making these allegations against him.

"While it is still too painful for me to go into detail about why I chose to no longer make her a part of my life, I will say that I am a critic and not a stalker. Any allegation that I am stalking her is utterly false, defamatory and now appear to be putting me in danger," Hilton said.
