Miley Cyrus to Keep Liam Hemsworth Engagement Ring?

Miley Cyrus will be keeping the engagement ring that former fiancé Liam Hemsworh gave her, E! News reported Monday.

Sources said that the 20-year-old Wrecking Ball singer would keep the 3.5. carat gold sparkler given to her by Hemsworth when he proposed in 2012.  Representatives confirmed that the couple of four years split last week.  

"The ring has not been returned to the jeweler, Neil Lane," a source said.

The insider added that there was no pressure for Cyrus to return the bauble to her 23-year-old ex. For the time being, Cyrus was simply mulling her options.

"Generally, the protocol is for the bride to keep the ring. It's up to her whether or not she wants to return it or keep it as a memento," the source said.

Allegedly, Cyrus would hold onto the ring as a keepsake of her time with Hemsworth. The two met while filming a movie in 2009. The couple were on and off for four years. There was also the matter of practicality in regards to the hand cut ring worth over $100,000.

"Besides, it's such a recognizable ring. If you were a bride-to-be, would you want a ring with that kind of negative history associated with it?" the source said.
