Taylor Swift Covers 'InStyle' November 2013

Taylor Swift is the November cover of In Style, Just Jared reported Friday.

The 23-year-old I Knew You Were Trouble singer opened to the magazine about her much discussed love life. She answered the question of whether she'd ever been in love. She mentioned the advice that Ed [Sheeran] had given her.

"He says there are different kinds of love: There's physical attraction, mental attraction, and emotional attraction; there's also comfort and obsession. You need to have all of those things in one person," Swift said.

Swift further explained that particular philosophy.

"You have to mentally respect them, be physically attracted, and have a comfort level. You're obsessed with them, yet you also know they're going to stay. I've never had that in one person," she said.

Swift has been romantically linked to Harry Styles, John Mayer and other notable men. She was asked to describe what the perfect guy would be for her.

"My friends tease me about the fact that if someone seems bad or shady or like they have a secret, I find them incredibly interesting. That's just a phase I've been in lately. I don't think this should be how I proceed in life," she said.

The issue will be on sale Oct. 18.
