Sylvester Stallone’s Art in Russia

Many art lovers lined up at the world's biggest museum of Russian art in Saint Petersburg, where Sylvester Stallone revealed his abstract paintings, The Guardian reported.

His exhibit was titled: Sylvester Stallone. He said it was an honor to show his works in the historic capital of Russia.

"The thing one most needs in order to interpret Stallone's work is to understand that they arise out of an inner necessity that stems from when the amount of accumulated knowledge, sensations and feelings demand to be materialized and transitioned to a new reality," said the notes on the gallery's website.

In a press conference on Sunday, Oct. 27, the actor said: ''I hope you will like my pictures. I love all of you.'' He also added if he had a choice he would rather spend his life drawing and sculpting rather than acting.

Stallone's work won praise from different curators. Museum director Vladimir Gusev said the paintings of the actor were not simply ''the work of an amateur''. In fact, he said they were ''show the character of a passionate man."

Though there were some people who didn't appreciate his art due to his anti-Russia character Rambo. ''If my visit is a challenge for somebody, let it be so,'' he said when asked about some angry comments.
