MIchael Schumacher Update: He is in a "Stable" Condition

Michael Schumacher remained in a "stable" condition, Sabine Kehm, his manager said to reporters on Jan 1, 2014 outside the hospital in Grenoble where he had two brain surgeries after his skiing accident.

"It is good news," Ms Kehm said, Fox News reported. "I don't want to go into further prospects as it is too early," she aded. "He is still in an artificial coma."

Schumacher fell while skiing off-piste in the resort of Meribel in the French Alps on Sunday, Dec. 29 and hit the right side of his head on a rock.

On Monday night, a scan showed "a few signs that the situation is better controlled than yesterday," Professor Jean-Francois Payen said at a press conference. "We can't say that he's out of danger but we've have gained time."

In the same press conference, he stated: "We judge him to be in a very serious situation. We cannot predict the future for Michael Schumacher."

On Tuesday, Dec. 31, doctors said that the former Formula One driver had shown signs of a "slight improvement" and that the racer's condition had "stabilized."

According to Fox News, his skiing accident has attracted huge media attention. The security at the hospital even had to stop a journalist who dressed as a priest in order to get close to Schumacher.

Schumacher is the most successful F1 driver in its history having won 91 race wins and having seven world titles in his belt.

His fans and the whole world continue to hope for his recovery.
