Joe Nichols on Third Child: ‘Another baby Nichols on the way in 2014!’

Country singer Joe Nichols is going to be a dad for the third time. The singer and wife Heather are expecting their second child together.

Nichols announced the pregnancy on his Twitter account on Thursday, Jan. 9, writing in the caption: "Aaaaaaand we're pregnant again! Another baby Nichols on the way in 2014!"

His representative confirmed to People magazine that the due date for the baby is the summer of 2014.

"Joe, Heather and Dylan are very excited to be welcoming a new baby by summer," his rep said to the publication.

The two are already parents to 20-month-old daughter Dylan River. Nichols also has a daughter, Ashelyn, 15, from a previous relationship.

People reported that this is good news as the couple have been open about their difficulty in getting pregnant. Heather suffers from an auto-immune condition. The couple finally got pregnant with help from fertility treatments and a number of experts.

"It's like my body was allergic to babies, really," the expecting mother explained. "Every time I would get pregnant, I would immediately start fighting the pregnancy. My body would treat the baby as if it was a cold or a virus."

This year started good in the life of Nichols as aside from being a dad again, his single Sunny and 75 has been certified gold according to Digital Journal.
