Ashlee Simpson has just become engaged to her boyfriend of seven months, Evan Ross. The pair, who had known each other for a while before their relationship began, recently flew to Hawaii for a relaxing getaway, and during the trip, Ross popped the question.

"My baby love and I are ENGAGED!!! Hallelujah Hawaii !!!!!" Simpson announced on Twitter on Jan. 13. Along with her tweet was a photo of herself and Ross which also included her new engagement ring. With the same photo included, Ross tweeted moments later, "The love of my life said YES!!!!!!"

"She was nice and said hello to Diana," a source revealed to PEOPLE Magazine. "Everyone was in a good mood and Ashlee just blended in as Diana's son's girlfriend."

Throughout the night, Simpson was spotted with Ross' sisters and even enjoyed a meal with them at one point. "[Ashlee] was talking about traveling soon with Evan," adds the source. "They were very affectionate."

During that same week, Simpson and Ross surfaced once again, this time with Simpson's son, Bronx Mowgli.

Months later, Ross spoke candidly about his relationship with Simpson telling press that she was "the one," and that wedding bells were in their future "for sure."

"I'm so in love and we've got amazing things going on," Ross told OMG! Insider during the premiere of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire In November of last year, also adding that he and Simpson "inspire each other."

This will be the first marriage for Ross and the second for Simpson, who was previously married to Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz. Simpson and Wentz tied the knot in 2008 and split in 2011. Their divorce was finalized on Nov. 22, 2011.
