Ciara has confirmed that she is pregnant.

During an appearance on The View on Tuesday, Jan. 14, the singer broke the news that she and rapper Future are expecting a baby. The news come after months of speculation sparked when the singer was spotted wearing baggy clothes.

Wearing a gold dress, she showed her baby bump. After her appearance on the show, HuffPost Live interviewed her about her pregnancy.

"It really is a blessing. It's the most exciting time in my life. I'm really excited, like a little kid," she said. "You know when the kids are getting ready for Christmas and you can't wait to see what's under the tree."

When it comes to the gender of the baby, Ciara admitted that: "I did have a preference before I found out what it was...[the result] was different than what I thought, but my fiancé got what he wanted." Even though the answer was not indirect, could the singer be implying that they're expecting a baby boy since many men prefer having boys?

The fiancé of Future was also asked about whether being pregnant can be sexy. "I believe that pregnancy within itself is sexy and I don't believe I have to show you that I still can be," she answered. "I kind of like it actually not being about abs and all that stuff. I really love this phase that I'm going through in my life and I just want to live in it. I just want to be a 'mommy-to-be.'"

She also revealed that she will not take a break from her career after giving birth.

"I'm in the most comfortable creative space I could possibly be in. I will actually be giving my fans something really soon and I'm really excited about it because it's so beautiful," the 28-year-old assured her fans.
