P. Diddy Proposes To Girlfriend Cassie On Instagram

P. Diddy and Cassie Venture have reportedly gotten engaged. However, Diddy didn't opt for an over-the-top Kanye West-style proposal. Instead, he chose to pop the question via social media.

"Baby do you like it?" Diddy asked on Instagram along with a photo of a sizable diamond ring. "I just want to get you wat you Like! I just wanna Mk you smile :)"

In response, Cassie told her man, "I'm definitely smiling. It's perfect."

Although there was never a direct confirmation of an engagement, Cassie has been spotted wearing the ring, on her engagement finger, since the post was made. Yesterday evening, Cassie was seen wearing the diamond in a blurry photo posted to Instagram by her friend and fellow R&B star, Keyshia Cole. Hours later, Cassie was seen sporting the ring in a photo posted to her own Instagram account.

Just months ago, Diddy appeared on The View, where he discussed the possibility of getting married in the future.

"It definitely would be a dream come true for me to just one day be ready for that [marriage]. I'm not really looking because I know the responsibility that comes with that, and I think that a lot of people, they jump into that and they're not honest with themselves," he told the show's hosts in Oct. 2013. "I'm brutally honest with myself. I don't want to get married and not make that woman be the best. I've been close to it, and when I'm ready, I'll make the announcement, but when I do it, I'm doing it forever."

P. Diddy and Cassie have been dating since 2007.
