Brooke Burke-Charvet Fired From 'Dancing With The Stars,' Replaced By Erin Andrews?

Brooke Burke-Charvet has been let go from her gig as co-host on Dancing With The Stars and will reportedly be replaced by Erin Andrews.

On Fri., Feb. 21, E! News reported that Burke-Charvet had been blindsided by producers with news that she would no longer be hosting the hit ABC dancing competition alongside Tom Bergeron.

"I have enjoyed seven seasons co-hosting DWTS but understand the need for change considering the position of the show at this juncture," Burke-Charvet said in a statement after the news broke. "I've always been one to embrace change and looking forward to pursuing opportunities I previously wasn't able to entertain because of contractual obligations to the show. I've seen my fair share of shocking eliminations in the ballroom but this one takes the cake."

After winning the seventh season of the show with pro partner Derek Hough, Burke-Charvet took on the job as host, replacing Samantha Harris ahead of the show's tenth season. Harris had been hosting the show since the second season and was proceeded by Lisa Canning, who worked on the show during season one.

A short time after Burke-Charvet's statement, Dancing With The Stars' executive producer Conrad Green released a statement of his own.

"We can confirm that Brooke Burke-Charvet will not be joining us next season," Green explained. "She's been a wonderful part of the Dancing with the Stars family since her triumphant win in season seven and will unquestionably be missed by our entire team. We'd like to thank Brooke for her years of great service."

Although it hasn't yet been confirmed who will be replacing Burke-Charvet, rumor has it that Andrews is set to sign on.

"The paperwork is being finalized but it is happening," a source confirmed to Us Weekly on Feb. 23.

Andrews got her start working for FOX Sports Florida in 2000 as a freelance reporter. In 2004, she moved onto ESPN where she worked as a reporter for ESPN National Hockey Night, and also reported for the College World Series, Little League World Series, and Great Outdoor Games.

On June 29, 2012, Andrews left ESPN and joined Fox Sports. There, Andrews worked as a contributor on Fox NFL Sunday and as a field reporter for events, including the MLB All-Star Game, the World Series, the NFL Playoffs, and the Daytona 500.

If Andrews is named co-host for Dancing With The Stars, it won't be her first time in the ballroom. In 2010, Andrews appeared on the series' tenth season where she and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy placed third.
