'Buckwild' will reportedly return to MTV one year after Shain Gandee's death.

In April 2013, after Gandee's tragic passing, MTV announced the show would not return, but now, sources claim the show's second season is in full effect and will soon be seen on MTV.

"The show has been shooting for about a month now in Wasilla, Alaska with a whole new cast," sources revealed to TMZ on April 24, adding that the concept is "the same as before -- lots of hooking up and fights -- but with some insane new stunts."

After a successful first season, the Buckwild family suffered a devastating loss when cast member Shain Gandee, 21, was found dead in a vehicle along with his uncle, David Dwight Gandee, 48, and Donald Robert Myers, 27. When the vehicle (Gandee's 1984 Ford Bronco) was discovered, it was partially submerged in mud.

Despite the series being canceled after Gandee's death, TMZ sources stated that producers are ready to bring the series back -- and that they have already shot several scenes with the new cast, including the cast skinny dipping in freezing cold water during an ice fishing trip and a wild snowmobile ride through the mountains.

News of a possible second season of Buckwild first hit the web on April 14, 2013. At the time, J.P. Williams of Parallel Entertainment (one of the companies behind Buckwild) told TMZ that the series would be reworked -- and that casting scouts had already been sent to Texas and Alaska to find potential stars.

During its run, Buckwild was the 3rd highest-rated show on MTV.

MTV has yet to comment on Buckwild season two.
