Erin Wasson was recently slammed for looking too thin in a new Instagram photo.

On May 12, Wasson, a 5'10'' model/actreess who starred as the vampire Vadoma in the 2012 horror film, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, shared a topless photo with her fans in which she was sitting in a field overlooking the ocean, with her protruding ribs on full display.

"Live a little," read the caption to Wasson's shocking social media photo.

In the past, Wasson, 32, has been criticised for her weight, so when negative comments came pouring in, including "Ribs ... eat a little!" and "eatmorefood.com," no one was all too surprised. While the photo was liked by over 4,000 people in just a few hours, there weren't many positive comments, and those who did compliment Wasson's frame seemed to have a distorted view on beauty, which others quickly called out.

After one follower wrote, "So skinny. love her back," another replied, "Love her back!? She's a skeleton!"

In an interview with Sydney's Daily Telegraph, via Daily Mail Online (which took place just after the NY Daily News deemed her "scary skinny"), Wasson claimed to have been "tormented" for being flat-chested and too thin in younger years, but according to her, her thin build is a matter of genetics.

"I've always been an athletic person, I’ve been blessed with good genes from my mum and dad and I’m going to ride that genetic wave for as long as I can," she explained.
