Channing Tatum reportedly has admitted to drinking "too much" in a new interview.

Although the actor is typically in great shape, he hasn't always lived a healthy lifestyle and is now coming clean about his weakness for alcohol and cake.

"I probably drink too much, you know," the actor told GQ Magazine for its June cover story, according to a May 20 PEOPLE Magazine report. "My wife, that's what she bought into ... I'm probably a pretty high-functioning, I guess, you know, I would say, alcoholic. There's probably a tendency to escape. I equate it to creativity, and I definitely equate it to having a good time."

Following the birth of his daughter Everly, with wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum, the 34-year-old star cut back on the booze, and when it comes time to film the upcoming sequel to Magic Mike, Tatum plans to cut alcohol out of his diet completely in an effort to look his best for the flick. However, once filming wraps (the movie will reportedly film for a total of four months), Tatum will be ready to get back to his wild ways.

"At the end of that movie, it's go time," he explained.

Another addiction Tatum struggles with is his addiction to sugar—but not just any sugar. For Tatum, it's all about confetti cake.

"I just love cake. Confetti cake, to be specific," Tatum revealed. "It has little colored candies inside the cake, and then you get the confetti icing, which is really hard to find sometimes. It's icing that actually has candies inside of it. It's Funfetti icing. It's a beautiful mix. It is an angel sent from heaven."

Magic Mike will begin shooting this fall and is set to be released on July 3, 2015.
