Amanda Bynes has started the tattoo removal process.

On Sunday, the former child star stepped out in Las Vegas, where her tattoo was seen looking faded.

"Bynes, 28, strolled in the Vegas sun with a male companion, wearing a plaid button-down shirt, a pair of skinny jeans, and pointed-toe black flats," Us Weekly reported of the outing on June 19. "A tattoo on Bynes' forearm was noticeably faded after she was seen wearing bandages on the area earlier this year."

Since leaving rehab in Dec. 2013, Bynes has been living in Los Angeles with her parents and going to school in Orange County. She has also reconnected with her sister, Jill, who she recently shared a photo of on her Twitter account.

Prior to entering rehab, Bynes had gotten a slew of tattoos, including the tattoo of black and red lettering on her arm that she's now having removed. On her opposite arm, Bynes has a tattoo of an angel's wings, which she appears to also be removing.

"The recovering star seems to be in the process of removing various ink from her body, as she was spotted in January with another tattoo, this time angel wings toward her elbow, much lighter than it once was," the site continued.

In addition to spending time with her family and furthering her education, Bynes has been focusing on fitness, attending regular Cardio Barre classes in Los Angeles.

Bynes also got her license back recently and was seen behind the wheel of her BMW this past April. Bynes' license was originally suspended on Aug. 25, 2012, after she failed to attend several court dates in regard to unpaid tickets.
