Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel recently addressed whether or not they dated while filming Boy Meets World.

Prior to Girl Meets World's premiere last night on the Disney Channel, Savage and Fishel spoke to E! News about what their relationship was like when they were on the set of the show's predecessor, Boy Meets World.

"She's the best," Savage told E! News regarding his on-screen wife. "She's a beautiful person inside and out. She's kind and smart and everyone loves her."

On Boy Meets World, Savage and Fishel started out as sometimes-friends who often bickered, but eventually became a couple. Although their relationship was fairly perfect, they did have their challenges and even broke up at one point, but soon after, they made their way back to one another and were married.

"We've always been best friends and what is there not to love about Ben?" Fishel asked. "He's obviously very handsome, he's very smart, he's very, very funny. Nobody makes me laugh more than Ben does. But Ben and I have always been just best friends and like family members."

Regardless of what was going on between Savage and Fishel off-screen, their on-screen lives were a huge hit with fans. Throughout the series' seven-season run (the show premiered in Sept. 1993 and wrapped in May 2000), the show was a huge hit for ABC, receiving an average of 9.9 million viewers per episode.

For more of Savage and Fishel, tune into Girl Meets World when it continues airing on July 11 at 8:30 p.m. on the Disney Channel.
