Khloe Kardashian Boyfriend 2014: 'KUWTK' Star Explains What Makes French Montana Special

Khloe Kardashian opened up about her new boyfriend on Friday night.

While celebrating her birthday at TAO Nightclub in Las Vegas, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star spoke out about her rapper beau, French Montana, and revealed what makes him special.

"He's just funny, he's light and easy. That's what I need right now," Kardashian explained to PEOPLE Magazine, according to their July 5 report. "He's fun. I like that he's always happy. Smiles are infectious and contagious, so I like that."

Kardashian and Montana were first spotted together in March of this year, following Kardashian's rumored relationship with The Game, as well as her Dec. 2013 divorce filing from NBA pro Lamar Odom.

During Friday's birthday festivities, Kardashian wore a black, sheer Michael Costello dress, and was seen staying close to Montana in the VIP area of the club. Surrounding Kardashian and her friends were go-go dancers, clad in "Khloe 30" T-shirts and holding posters that spelled out her name. In the deejay booth, Eric Dlux spun tracks, including Montana's "Pop That."

As for what she hopes her 30s will bring, Kardashian told PEOPLE, "I just want positivity and having fun. I don't know. I'm only a couple days in to it."

On July 3, Kardashian's belated birthday plans were nearly ruined when her flight to Las Vegas from New York was canceled. According to E! News, Kardashian and Montana, who was flying with her, were stuck in the airport for "several hours," but eventually able to catch a later flight to Sin City.
