During Watch What Happens Live last week, Zoe Saldana didn't stall when it came to defending Britney Spears!

After a caller asked the Guardians of the Galaxy star for her opinion on the hullabaloo over the Britney Spears song "Alien," which surfaced on the internet without any Auto-Tune, Saldana defended her former co-star.

"Well, that's mean because I'm pretty sure that 80 percent of our musical artists would be mortified if they were caught singing without their own Auto-Tune," Saldana responded during the show.

Saldana went on to explain how much she respects the pop star who never threw shade, like a lot of people Saldana met when she started out in the business. This was definitely an answer the caller did not expect.

Spears and Saldana have a history with one another. They starred in the 2002 film Crossroads, that revolved around the theme of self-discovery and friendship. It wasn't a big hit, but it certainly marked the start of Saldana's admiration for Spears.

Last year, when Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen asked Saldana about Spears, she graciously mentioned they hadn't been in touch for a few years, according to US Weekly.

The years may have gone by, but Kit (Saldana) has Lucy's (Spears) back.

Spears later tweeted at Saldana, "Truly the sweetest, thx 4 the kind words. Nothing but great memories of working w u. Crossroads pt. 2?" Her post even featured a Crossroads GIF.

Britney's last line in Crossroads was, "...Now, none of us has any idea where life's gonna take us, 'cause what we have is now. And right now, we have each other."

Over 10 years later, the quote has become unexpectedly epic!
