Jerry Ferrara is bulking up for a new role.

Ferrara may have been the chubby one on Entourage, but these days, the actor is anything but. In a new social media posting, Ferrara showed off his new, more muscular look with fans.

"WARNING. MAJOR MEATHEAD #FLEXIE PHOTO ABOUT TO POST... Yup there it is," Ferrara wrote in the caption of a set of gym photos, according to an Aug. 8 report by PEOPLE Magazine. In the photos, Ferrara was seen lifting weights and flexing his muscles.

In 2011, around the time Entourage wrapped, Ferrara debuted a slimmed down frame, which he credited to diet and exercise. In an interview with Men's Health, Ferrara revealed he had lost a whopping 55 pounds over the course of several months. Since then, he's managed to stay healthy and keep off the weight.

Ferrara's latest physical change is for the upcoming Arturo Gatti biopic. In the movie, Ferrara will play the Brazilian boxer.

"Ever since he got his role for the Arturo Gatti movie, we wanted to get him looking bigger and stronger and bulkier," Jordan Feramisco explained to PEOPLE, who also revealed Ferrara's gym routine of lifting weights and boxing.

Ferrara works out "about four times a week" at the Unbreakable Performance Center.

Ferrara's buff new look appears to be a hit with his fans online. In addition to receiving more than 7,500 likes in just two days, fans showered the actor with positive comments, such as, "Okay we loved Turtle before ... But now ... too much hotness," and "Good work!"
