Leah Calvert's daughter, Ali, needs a new wheelchair.

On recent episodes of Teen Mom 2, Calvert and her former husband, Corey Simms, learned their daughter's wheelchair wouldn't be covered by their insurance. Now, months later, they are still trying to provide her with the proper chair.

"[I] hope everyone enjoyed tonight’s episode.. we still have the loaner chair, but sadly it’s out of my hands," Calvert wrote on Twitter, according to an Aug. 14 report by Hollywood Life, adding she and her family "are thankful for what we have.”

In April 2014, after years of wondering what was holding their daughter back, Calvert and Simms received news that their daughter was suffering from a rare form of muscular dystrophy, known as Titin muscular dystrophy. Until Ali, Titin muscular dystrophy was only found in adults.

Although Ali learned to walk a while before her diagnosis was explained, her parents quickly found out that her mobility wouldn't last. Eventually, they were told, Ali would be restricted to a wheelchair because of her loss of muscle strength. And that wasn't all. Calvert and Simms also discovered Ali was at risk of respiratory difficulties and heart problems.

Despite the grim outlook, Calvert remains positive about her daughter getting the wheelchair she needs. In fact, she's already ordered it and has high hopes it will be delivered in time for her daughter to start school.

“… but excited to get a list personal pink wheelchair for school etc. Say many prayers that we will have it soon. Xoxo,” she told fans.
