Juan Pablo And Nikki Ferrell: 'Bachelor' Couple Head To 'Couple's Therapy' After "Ups And Downs"

Juan Pablo Galavis is opening up about his relationship with Nikki Ferrell.

As the trailer for the upcoming fifth season of Couple's Therapy hit the web, the former Bachelor star celebrated his birthday, and during his party, he spoke to reporters about his long-distance relationship with Ferrell.

In an interview with Primer Impacto, via an Aug. 18 report by Wetpaint Entertainment, Galavis admitted to having “ups and downs,” with Ferrell. Then, when the reporter noticed a ring on Ferrell's finger, Galavis quickly noted it was not an engagament ring, telling the reporter it was just a “regular ring.”

Although Galavis and Ferrell appeared to make some headway recently, with Galavis telling Ferrell he "loved her on Twitter, the pair are still living in separate time zones. While Galavis resides in Miami with his daughter, Camilla, Ferrell is in Kansas City, Kan.

According to Ferrell, she and Galavis see one another “every two weeks, at least.”

Galavis and Ferrell met during the filming of The Bachelor season 18 and on the show's finale, Ferrell received the final rose. She didn't, however, get an engagement ring, and now, months later, her finger remains bare.

That being said, Ferrell doesn't appear to mind Galavis' lack of commitment and recently tweeted her thoughts on the former soccer star with fans on Twitter.

"Happy Birthday to my other half," she tweeted earlier this month. "Thank you for being an amazing, loving, and patient man."

Couple's Therapy season five premieres on Sept. 10 at 9 p.m. on VH1.
