Lamar Odom is reportedly trying to win back his estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian.

Now that Kardashian and rapper French Montana have parted ways, Odom is convinced he has a chance with the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star -- and he's ready to make his move.

The split will “make it that much easier for him to get back with her and be her husband,” a source revealed Radar Online, according to a Sept. 15 report by In Touch Weekly. “He wasn’t too fond of that rapper anyway and thought he was a sucker- Khloe’s rebound man!”

Kardashian and Montana began dating in March, three months after Kardashian filed for divorce. In the months that followed, Montana began appearing on her family's reality show, and also on the series' latest spinoff, Kourtney & Khloe Take The Hamptons.

During their relationship, Kardashian claimed Montana was just what she needed, funny, light and easy. However, their courtship was often called into question by critics who felt Montana was using Kardashian for fame -- especially after he told Billboard Magazine he planned to "capitalize" on the attention he was getting as a result of the relationship.

“Real love always wins in the end. He knew that wasn’t going to last," the source added. "French was there so she could get her mind off Lamar."
