Amanda Bynes Arrested For DUI, Sources Claim She's Smoking Weed Again

Following the end of her parents' conservatorship, Bynes was somewhat MIA. Then, after a DUI arrest on Sept. 29 in Los Angeles, Bynes flew to New York City, where she recently debuted her new engagement ring.

“I got engaged to someone I met while in rehab,” Bynes revealed to Star Magazine on Oct. 8. “He’s an unemployed actor [Caleb, 19], and he’s the greatest guy in the world, so supportive of me and my decisions. I haven’t started planning the wedding yet, but I am so happy and am in such a good place!”

After months several questionable incidents, including a number of hit and runs, Bynes was placed on a 5150 hold after she lit someone's driveway on fire. For the next five months, Bynes was kept in a mental health facility, and later transferred to a rehab facility in Malibu, Calif., where she met her fiancé, Caleb.

Things appeared to be going well for Bynes in the weeks after rehab. In addition to enrolling at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchendizing, Bynes began exercising with her parents, Rick and Lynn.

Now, Bynes and her parents are on the outs.

“I hate my parents,” she said. “I want to be as far away from my father as possible. I still talk to my mom, but I hate my dad, and I want nothing to do with him.”

Although Bynes' career path remains unclear, the former actress confirmed she was not heading back to Hollywood, saying, “You’re never going to see me on TV or in a movie again."
