Amanda Bynes may be convinced she's engaged, but her "fiancé" claims otherwise.

Amanda Bynes Announces Engagement To 19-Year-Old Actor

Last week, following a DUI and some questionable behavior in New York City, Bynes revealed she was engaged and debuted her engagement ring. However, according to Caleb Pusey, the man she was allegedly set to wed, he has no plans of marrying the troubled child star.

"Amanda allegedly got close to Caleb while they were at the Canyon Treatment Center together, but sources close to the teenager told TMZ that he has no plans of marrying the former Nickelodeon star," Hollywood Life reported on Oct. 11. "Amanda and Caleb did befriend each other, according to the site, but he says he never dated her, nor set a wedding date. They haven’t even spoken in months."

Bynes debuted her engagement ring in NYC and spoke to Star Magazine about her plans to marry the man she met during her months-long rehab stint last year. In the interview with Star, Bynes claimed her fiance was a 19-year-old unemployed actor, who she believed to be the "greatest guy in the world." Bynes told the magazine Pusey was supportive of her and her decisions and said they were in a good place.

Bynes also tweeted about her alleged engagement news.

"I am getting married and my boyfriend and I are going to be on the cover People magazine," she wrote on Oct. 8.

Two days after her tweet, Bynes flew to Los Angeles, where she was nearly immediately hospitalized and placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold, which would last at least 72 hours.
