Are Teresa and Joe Giudice planning for a pre-prison divorce?

Teresa And Joe Giudice Must Split Their Finances

Although the Real Housewives of New Jersey couple has denied any impending divorce in the past, a new report claims things have since become strained between them, leading Teresa to consider a divorce, while husband Joe continues to drink in excess.

“It’s really sad,” an insider told Radar Online on Oct. 14. “Most nights Joe stays downstairs long after Teresa and the girls have gone to bed. He usually drinks a lot of wine, and ends up passing out on the couch.”

On Oct. 2, Teresa and Joe were sentenced to prison time. Luckily for their kids, the judge on their case will allow them to serve their terms one after the other. Teresa will serve 15 months, as Joe tends to their daughter. Then, Joe will serve 41 months, and Teresa will care for the kids.

During their trial, Joe's drinking was a hot topic. According to the reality husband, he began drinking daily around the time Teresa joined the Bravo show. Now, he has allegedly gotten even worse -- and it has taken a toll on his family.

“Joe did this for awhile, but in recent months, he just doesn’t even care what Teresa wants,” the source said. “He is beyond pretending that everything is fine behind closed doors. His feeling is, it’s his house for the time being, and will sleep wherever he wants. The fact Joe chooses NOT to share a bed with Teresa speaks volumes about the state of their marriage.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs on Sunday nights at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
