Earlier this week, the reality star and mom shared a photo of herself on Twitter, which put her super-thin arms on display. In response to the shocking picture, several fans grew concerned about Frankel's health. Now, she's telling her side of the story.

“The way that my body was, it made me look like I was a skeleton and it became this whole Internet thing yesterday, that I’m anorexic and all this crazy stuff,” Frankel revealed during an appearance on Elvis Duran's radio show, via an Oct. 29 report by Radar Online.

Bethenny Frankel Is "Excited" About Her 'RHONY' Return

Frankel has made a living of being "skinny." In addition to her books, the returning member of the Real Housewives of New York City has several beverage and food products available through her Skinnygirl brand.

Although Frankel is aware that her photos often garner criticism, she refuses to be anything other than herself -- and claims her success is the result of just that.

“…In some circumstances you do [have to be careful] but if I start filtering myself and being so careful walking on eggshells with everything I say or post, I won’t even be me or be on this radio show or on that television show, or as successful as I am," she said.

Bethenny Frankel is currently filming the seventh season of The Real Housewives of New York City. The series is expected to return to Bravo next year.
