Diem Brown Dead: MTV Star Dead At 32 Following Third Cancer Diagnosis [VIDEO]

Diem Brown, MTV Reality Star, Is Battling Cancer For The Third Time

On Friday, the star of MTV's The Challenge passed away after being diagnosed with cancer for a third time earlier this year. Brown's death comes just days before she was scheduled to undergo her second of five chemotherapy treatments.

"The reality star was diagnosed with cancer for a third time this past summer, after previously facing the disease in 2006 and 2012," Us Weekly reported on Nov. 14. "Her prognosis was more serious the third and final time, as the ovarian cancer had spread to her colon and stomach lining."

On The Challenge, Brown has long been a fan favorite. She has appeared on the show many times and her ongoing love affair with Chris "CT" Tamburello has been a joy to watch. Although Brown and Tamburello weren't dating at the time of her death, Tamburello had been at her side throughout treatment, and tweeted a photo of him in Brown's hospital room.

Hours before her death, Diem's Challenge co-star, Cara Maria, took to Twitter, where she shared a heartfelt message for her friend.

It read, "Through her struggles has shown me how beautiful and good people can be when the world seems so dark. Keeps inspiring. Through her struggles I've learned to see and appreciate my blessings so much more. Through her fight has brought so many people together in love and prayers. There is light in dark. We love you D."
