Jena Malone said goodbye to her character in the Hunger Games franchise. Malone plays Johanna Mason, the District 7 tribute in last year's Catching Fire and the Mockingjay films.

The 30 year old actress explained that the hardest part of playing her character is when it's time to cut the rope and move on. The role had put her to a series of tough physical circumstances and extreme scenes.

"For me, probably, the most challenging was just the end," she told Us. "Knowing that it was the end, that funny pressure builds inside the body when you're shooting your final scene. It's like, 'Oh my goodness, I'm saying goodbye to a character that I've fallen deeply and madly in love with for the past two years."

Malone kept busy with active movie schedules and new projects after the Mockingjay Part 2 wrapped up shooting last summer.

The star has an eye for photography as well, she considers this hobby as a sideline when she is not shooting scenes with the highly anticipated Reese Witherspoon, Joaquin Phoenix and Owen Wilson starrer, Inherent Vice.

The actress is currently showing an exhibit at Los Angeles' MAMA Art Gallery that showcases her display photos, "The Holy Other." The photos were taken during her 10-day trip to Myanmar.

The proceeds of the exhibit will go to a charity called Girl Determined, which "works with young Burmese women to educate and empower them through societal shifts in their country."

Famous photographers Luke Grimes and Emily Browning were her inspiration and it became a vehicle for her to be introduced to the world of photography.

Malone's photography project is kind of a bit of a challenge compared to acting, she explained that she is nervous about showing her pictures, "I feel like you only really get nervous off of things that you care most about in life. You know? So, they're definitely beautiful nerves." She also added that it is kind of a big deal to show 39 prints in a wonderful gallery and the event marks her first time to do so.
