'Birdman' Starring Michael Keaton & Emma Stone Leads Golden Globes Nominations with 7 Nods

Birdman starring Michael Keaton and Emma Stone received high honors this week leading the Golden Globe nominations with 7. The movie also stars Edward Norton, Zach Galifianakis, Andrea Riseborough, Amy Ryan and Naomi Watts. Birdman released to theaters on October 17th.

The nominations including nods for actors Michael Keaton, Edward Norton, Emma Stone; director Alejandro G. Iñárritu; and for Best Musical or Comedy. 

Birdman tells the story of an actor (Michael Keaton) -- famous for portraying an iconic superhero -- as he struggles to mount a Broadway play. In the days leading up to opening night, he battles his ego and attempts to recover his family, his career, and himself.

The 2015 Golden Globe Awards nominations were announced this morning (Dec 11) by Kate Beckinsale, Jeremy Piven, Peter Krause and Paula Patton. The 2015 Golden Globe Awards are set to air live on January 11 with hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
