Brad Pitt attended last night's premiere of Unbroken at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood in place of wife Angelina Jolie who's home sick with chicken pox. He brought along with him their children Maddox, Pax and Shiloh Jolie-Pitt who posed with him on the red carpet.

Maddox, Pax and even their sister Shiloh wore matching dark tailored suits and ties for occasion. In addition to the children, Pitt also took with him to the premier his mother Jane, and his father William.
About the condition of his wife who directed the World War II movie, Pitt told E! News: "Her spirits are high. A little spotted and a little itchy, but her spirits are high." His wife, until Friday, was promoting and doing all she can in support of the movie. She met with the press junket in New York City, appeared on The Daily Show With Jon Stewart and the Today show, attended premieres in London, Paris, Berlin and Sydney, and served as a presenter at the Hollywood Film Awards. But on Friday, she sent a video statement saying she has chicken pox.

Regarding allowing the children to watch the PG-13 film, Angelina Jolie told E! in a previous interview: "My boys -- one is 13, one is 11 but he's a mature 11 -- will see it, but I think I might actually show my younger children. I think they could handle it because they understand film. They know the difference of what is real and what isn't, because it's heavy for [kids] under 13. But they all knew Louis [Zamperini]. They want to see it because it's Louis."

Jolie's movie is an adaptation of Laura Hillenbrand's book Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption, the true story of Zamperini, a WWII hero and Olympic athlete who survived a plane crash in the Pacific, spent 47 days drifting on a raft, and then for more than two and a half years, lived in several Japanese camps as a prisoner of war. Unbroken will be seen in theaters beginning December 25.
