The last time they made a movie together, it was in 2005 for Doug Liman's hit romantic comedy action film Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Now, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will again be seen together in a new upcoming movie, this time a drama titled By the Sea. Also written and directed by Jolie, the film follows the story of a couple trying to rekindle their dying marriage during a trip to Europe. Pitt plays 'Roland,' the husband in the film, while she plays 'Vanessa' the wife.

Jolie and Pitt began filming for By the Sea just weeks after their wedding in August. "Yes, we spent our honeymoon playing two people in a terrible marriage," the actress and filmmaker told The Hollywood Reporter (THR) in an interview. "I'm sure a therapist would have a field day analyzing the films I choose to do. But it's been 10 years since Brad and I have worked together. It felt like it was time." she added.

Jolie's interview will see print in the THR magazine's January 9 issue, a special on 2014's top "Rule Breakers," which also includes stories featuring "rule breakers" Chris Pratt, Taylor Swift, Michael Keaton, Ethan Hawke, James Gunn, Viola Davis, The LEGO Movie creators Chris Miller and Phil Lord, among others.

But of course, Jolie has been breaking the rules not just in 2014, but almost ever since. In fact she say's she's making By the Sea precisely because many people says she shouldn't. Jolie told THR: "But all the reasons why people say we should be scared of it, we feel that's exactly why we have to do this, because we can. So we're going to go boldly." She also said: "I never had a plan for my life. I do what I want to do. And if suddenly tomorrow I couldn't do anything, I could deal with that. I'd be happy at home being a mom.... I feel you can do whatever you want in this life. So long as you don't hurt anybody, you can do anything."
