It is not strange for rising stars to be constantly flocked by Rumorville and it would seem that The Fault In Our Stars and Divergent star, Ansel Elgort is the latest among its target. Recently, the 20 year old actor went on to social media to address such rumors on his sexuality.

According to Huffington Post, he wrote to his 2.36 million Twitter followers "Just in case it isn't clear... I like girls. A lot.' He wrote, adding: 'Also let me say if I was gay I wouldn't hide it. Being gay or straight isn't bad or good it just IS. U are who you are. Be true to yourself."

In terms of his off-screen romance, he is now a single man. Elgort recently split with his high-school sweetheart, Violetta Komyshan, last August just one month after going public about their relationship. "They tried to navigate his commitments, but between the filming and press for the movies [it got difficult]," Quoted by Daily Mail from an article on US Weekly. Elgort and Komyshan both went to LaGuardia High School in New York City.

Famous alumni of LaGuardia High School are Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Anniston and Sarah Paulson.

In terms of his upcoming projects, Elgort will be reprising his role in Insurgent where he will be playing his Fault In Our Stars co-star Shailene Woodley as her brother, Caleb Prior. The trailer for the film is out and it will premiere on cinemas by March.

Another project that Elgort fans should look forward to is his biopic on Harvey Lavan Cliburn where he plays the pianist himself. Most likely the rumors stemmed from that as Cliburn was a privately gay Baptist.
