Bradley Cooper is on a major role! His new movie, American Sniper, managed to impress everyone as it racks up $1 million in domestic box office receipts in just five days. What's more is that his film was only show in four US cinemas.

In the movie, the Hangover actor plays the role of Chris Kyle, a Navy seal sniper who became a legend for his lethal accuracy in the Iraqi warfront, however, he had to come home to his family with post-traumatic stress disorder. He is co-starred with Sienna Miller, Jack McDorman, Navid Negahban, Keir O'Donnell and Luke Grimes and the film was directed by Clint Eastwood with its screen play written by Jason Hall.

The biopic based on Kyle's own memoir was declared as the best limited release on Christmas Day during its opening where it had a total of $240,212 worth of receipts under ten cinemas from New York, Los Angeles and Dallas. Critics are also saying that Cooper will be given a third Oscar nomination for his role.

Cooper had mentioned that playing Kyle had been an honor. Independent quotes, "There's something about how stoic [Kyle] was - it was all sort of in his eyes as a human being how gentle he was, how complicated he was."

Kyle and his wife, Taya, were reported to have worked closely with the team when it came to the creation of the film. Unfortunately, he and his neighbor Chad Littlefield were murdered by fellow veteran, Eddie Ray Routh in a shooting range in his Texan hometown last 2013. Taya continued on working closely with Cooper as the actor is highly determined to give the late Marine's life story and struggles justice for the world to see and to realize.

American Sniper is set to be released in most cinemas on January 16, 2015.
