When the Kim Kardashian Game was first launched, it was expected to make a lot of money and the initial projection was made for $200 million. Things did look great in the beginning, but today, the immensely famous mobile game isn't in the A-league anymore. Apple's App Store shows the ranking of the socialite's app has tumbled down to the 19th place in the ratings, which is consistent with the downfall in the Android market as well. The app was released in 2014, and the analysts predicted that it would make a whooping $200 million. The reality is sadly different as the game was able to make only $43 million in the third quarter.

In Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, the game allows the players to create their own Kardashian-style star and then go on to complete various quests. Glu Mobile is the studio that made the free game. Players buy "Koins," the currency in the game that is further used to change the look, style and apparel of the star.

The mobile game did become insanely popular in the beginning and had a good start. It made $1.6 million in the first five days of its release. But the sales slumped down over the coming mouths. Glu Mobile shares are already in a tailspin, going from 7.31 to 4.76 at the close.

As it happens with most mobile games, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood soon lost the hype that was created around it. How the game fares in the coming months remains to be seen. However, Kim Kardashian needn't be bothered as she earned a massive $28 million for her in the past year and she also earns royalty of 45% of the revenues from her game.

On the other hand, Kim Kardashian is also developing a 'butt-app', which can also be a money-spinner for her. People can download the app and get fit as well, through Kim's well-meaning fitness advice on the app.
