'Gotham' FOX Season 1 Episode 13 Ben McKenzie’s Det. Jim Gordon in His First Homicide Case Following His Reinstatement & Robin Lord Taylor’s Penguin in His First Takeover of Fish’ Possessions

Fox's Gotham Season 1 airs their 13th episode on Monday, January 26, at its 8:00-9:00 pm time slot and is entitled "Welcome Back, Jim Gordon." According to the studio's official synopsis, when the key witness in a homicide ends up dead while being held for questioning by the police, Gordon (Ben McKenzie) suspects that it's an inside job and looks to an old friend for information. Meanwhile, Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor) takes control of one of Fish Mooney's (Jada Pinkett-Smith) prized possessions, as she gets a gets a small taste of her own medicine.

In last week's episode, Gordon was seen being reinstated as a detective by police commissioner Gillian Loeb (Peter Scolari) after keeping his end of a deal in the capture and recovery of escaped prisoner Jack Buchinsky aka The Electrocutioner (Christopher Heyerdahl). Also seen last week, Oswald Cobblepot was allowed by Falcone (John Doman) to take over Fish Mooney's nightclub as well as what is left of her gang. As for Fish and her right-hand man Butch Drew Powell), they were taken as prisoners by the Don who promised them they will suffer long and hard for their treachery. And poor aspiring singer Liza (Mackenzie Leigh), Fish' pawn in her failed power-grab attempt, she was strangled by Falcone until she died in his hands.
