Disney 'Star Wars': Rumors, Allegations, and the Future Plans

Although the release of Episode 7, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is hovering over the minds of its fans, it is nearly impossible to forget about the standalone movie that Disney is going to release between Episodes 7, 8, and 9. Rumors are that the film's producers are now initiating its casting process.

According to the sources, three actresses have been approached for a mysterious role in the film. Tatiana Maslany, Felicity Jones, and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo fame Rooney Mara have reportedly read the role for the upcoming spinoff movie. However, no official announcement or reports have been made regarding the release of the first standalone movie. Maslany captured the eyes of its fans with the sci-fi show Orphan Black, where she played several different roles as a part of a clone club. Jones appeared in a movie on Stephen Hawkins and received an Academy Award for the same, while Mara first gathered the attention of the public with the movie The Social Network where she played the role of Mark Zukerberg's ex-girlfriend. Let's wait and watch whom will the viewers be finally able to see in the standalone film.

On the other hand, George Lucas, has alleged that Disney has not used any of his ideas in the episode seven of the star wars series. Lucas had created the first six episodes before finally handling the franchisee to Disney along with the plot for episode seven. According to the sources, this allegation was made after Lucas had viewed the official teaser for the seventh episode privately in a theater.

The Star Wars standalone movie is scheduled to be released somewhere in 2016. It is being directed by Gareth Edwards. The second standalone film is rumored to be directed by Josh Trank in the future. Reportedly, it has been said that the studio already has plans for film premieres till the year 2020.
