There is no such thing as an upcoming "Nokia Lumia 835." As already made clear by Microsoft, the Nokia Lumia 830 is the last Nokia branded smartphone in the company's Lumia series. The rumors that there will be a forthcoming "Nokia Lumia 835" stemmed from two possible sources: a concept art design rendered on his computer by Hanz Manuel which combine the best features of mid-range and higher-end smartphones, and a likely typo error on Microsoft's official Lumia web page at the AT&T "Nokia Lumia 835" which if clicked takes visitors to AT&T's Nokia Lumia 830 store page.

Launched just last October, the Nokia Lumia 830 is dubbed as Microsoft's newest "affordable flagship" smartphone. Priced at around $433, it is aimed at catering to the mid-range segment of the market. The phone features a 5-inch, 1280x720 display, a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 chip, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a removable 2,200 mAh battery. The phone measures 139.4 mm x 70.7mm x 8.5 mm and weighs 150 grams. Microsoft's Sensor Core is also built in, providing a pedometer sensor for tracking your steps via the Bing Health and Fitness app. It ships with a 10MP PureView camera with optical stabilization along with a 1MP front-facing camera.

Following the release of Nokia Lumia 830, which was at the same time as the Nokia Lumia 735 and the Nokia Lumia 730, Microsoft issued a formal press statement saying: "When we announced that the Nokia Devices & Services business would become part of Microsoft, we also shared that Lumia, our smartphone brand, would become part of the Microsoft family. Since then, we have naturally been making the change from Nokia to Microsoft in our websites, packaging and other consumer touch points. In the coming weeks and months, you'll start seeing even more brand experience come to life across different channels as we transition from Nokia Lumia to Microsoft Lumia." Clearly then, the next iteration to the company's mid-range smartphone won't be called a "Nokia Lumia 835."
