John Mayer was brought in as the guest host for the Late Late Show on CBS for a few nights this past week and Ed Sheeran was one of the guests that appeared. In the video, which you can watch above, you can see Sheeran and Mayer draw each other tattoos and get them done without seeing what each other drew. They then do a hilarious reveal on the show including Ed drawing a cat for John's tattoo.

The 37-year-old singer and guest host then went on to perform with Ed Sheeran at the end of the night for his song "Don't". John sang BGV's and of course they threw in a couple bars at the end of the song for him a shred a bit on the guitar. It was great to see such strong performers on stage and in a way it could be seen as a passing of the torch from one generation to the next.

What did you think of their duet on stage and of John's hosting abilities? We loved all of it!

Sheeran's new album X topped the U.S. Billboard 200 chart earlier this Summer in July selling 210,000 copies in it's first week, according to figures from Nielsen SoundScan.

His debut album, +, containing the singles "The A Team" and "Lego House", was certified quintuple platinum in the United Kingdom. In 2012, he won two Brit Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act. "The A Team" won the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically.

"The A Team" was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2013 Grammy Awards and he performed the song in duet with Elton John during the ceremony. He was nominated for Best New Artist at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards.
